I got the chance to experience the 2010 Masskara Festival last weekend October 16-17, this is the second festival that I’ve attended. Since it’s my first time to visit Bacolod and to attend Masskara I researched for almost three (3) months just to make this trip unforgettable.
Masskara Festival is held every October in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental a week long festival every 3rd weekend of October nearest to October 19 which is the city’s charter anniversary. The highlight of the festival is the street dancing competition along Araneta Street the competitors wear colorful costumes and masks adorned with “smiling faces”.

Since I’m almost done in visiting all the beautiful places here in our country, my next stop will be the festivals and I’m keeping my fingers crossed *wink*
